Taos in Rome?

I first encountered this structure late one evening on a walk.  It immediately brought to mind Taos Church and I promised myself I'd return and make a photograph that played on that resemblance.  I finally got my chance to try that - and found it impossible.  The barriers around the structure prevented me from making the image I saw that night when darkness obscured these obstacles.  I haven't given up yet...
