a bit more of Paris

This is a very modest hotel and as my needs are modest (and my budget fierce) it is sufficient. The sheets are clean, the water runs hot and cold, the room is warm.  It is a third floor (4th level) walk-up.

a hand-made fence in a city park.
It is the details that make Paris such a pleasure.  Among these details are the handmade fences and barriers in the gardens all over the city.
This is a planter wall in the park behind Notre Dame.  Below: the materials being used to assemble it.

A visit to St Etienne du Mont. The churches in Paris are visually quieter than most in Rome.  The Paris churches seem intended to subdue one rather than make one awestruck.

Saint Germain l'Auxerrois was a church that I returned to several times.
